Lego Indy Secrets

| June 12, 2008 | 2 Comments

I’ve been looking through my ShortStat…err, stats for the last few days and a high volume of traffic is coming from people searching for help with Indy’s office in Lego Indiana Jones.  So as a public service to all those folks, here is a little more information.

I should point out that this information may be classed by some as spoilers, but if you’re searching for it then you’re probably not that fussed about that.  If you are, stop reading now, made a cup of coffee, grab a beer or whatever and go about your daily business.

Indy’s Office – What’s The Deal?
Indy’s office is basically another puzzle that allows you to unlock some new content.  You will need to have unlocked characters such as Short Round, Bazooka Trooper, someone who can dig like Sallah, a Thuggee guard and someone who can decipher the stone tablets such as Elsa or Marcus Brody.

I am doing this from memory but if the grey matter still serves me correctly there are five pieces to the puzzle that need to be collected and dropped into the centre of the room before building an object.  These five are:

On top of the shelf.
Through a small vent where you then also need to use a Thugee character on the statue.
Under the glass case (use the explosive character).
Burried by the large objects in the bottom left of the screen (use the explosive character to destroy it, then dig it up).
Behind the wall after using the decipher ability.

Completing the puzzle will then give you a key.  Take the key upstairs to the trophy room and pick up the gem stone on the floor.  Put the gem inside the plinth in the centre of the room to reveal a lock.  Use the key on the lock and it will then show you the three special entrances to the three hidden levels.  If you are playing on the Xbox 360 this will also obtain you the “Got lost in his own museum” achievement.

How do you play the secret levels?  You either have to collect all ten treasure chests in each level to build the artefacts OR you can purchase them with Lego studs you have collected.  Purchased artefacts will flash and be a dull colour whereas the collected ones shine golden.  Complete the set for each movie and you will unlock the levels.  So far I have only unlocked the Raiders level which is a fantastic little sandbox called Ancient City with 1,000,000 pieces to collect, and an achievement waiting if you do.

Hope this helps!
