Nostalgia Overload
I try not to just post random links here but I couldn’t resist this one. Gizmodo has a story about their visit to Lego HQ and this video shows their secret, temperature controlled vault that contains every single Lego set ever made.
The video has plenty of “I had that one!” moments in it for me. The only difference here is they didn’t spend hours putting it together and then drop it five minutes later and have to start over again.

Yah I had like the big space set with the monorail that cost like $100 ! I loved that one.
I would build ones that were underwatter bases and sink them in the tub and use clay to try and make them ‘air tight’.
I even made a few stop motion annimations . . . which were later recorded over by my father who decided to record christmas breakfast . . . who records chirstmas BREAKFAST ?
I love lego ! After the house I use to live in bruned down and we were going through the husk of a house, I found my box of Legos mostly intact. They are still in storage waiting for a good cleaning.
Maybe I’ll get them out today . . .
It’s no wonder you ended up working in multimedia then!
Living proof, Lego can survive a fire and possible even nuclear war.
