Blog Evolution & Thanks!
Yesterday was something of a milestone for the blog, and one I don’t think will be beaten for quite some time.
After I posted my round-up of the ThreeSpeech event on Tuesday night, I put a link to the post on Rllmuk (my forum of choice) and before long I was seeing links to it on Games Radar, NeoGaf, AVS Forum and a number of forums from France, Italy, Spain and even Japan. ThreeSpeech also put a link to the article on their main page as well and all told I had 1434 unique visitors yesterday which is frankly mindblowing!
I started blogging back in June 2006 as an experiment, something to play around with and keep about three people up to date with what I’d been getting up to! Since then through a combination of links from other people’s blogs and the help of ThreeSpeech I’m now getting around 400 visitors each day.
So a few thanks are most definitely in order! Firstly, big thanks to Cornell Finch for giving me countless tidbits of information about WordPress, plugins, themes and widgets, and especially for linking to me in the early days.
To Ben, Piers and Dave from Red-Rant for being cool, and to Ben for linking to me also.
ThreeSpeech, for once again linking to me and inviting me to both of the community evenings.
Finally, everyone who has visited, commented and been in contact over the last ten months. Hopefully there will a lot of new things to write about very soon
