12 of 12 VI – April

| April 12, 2011 | 9 Comments

Once again it’s time for us to delve into 12 of 12, creation of Chad Darnell and currently in its sixth (and final as hosted by Chad) year.

I was very, very late last month with my effort because I didn’t have time to do it on the 12th and ended up taking a few photos at another random event.
It’s with a slightly heavy heart I do this months 12 due to our good 12 friends Scott and Matt having such a terrible time with their pets (kids) over in Seattle and I hate to see friends going through such hard times.  Head over to Matt’s blog and show them some love.  For now, on with the show.

It’s a work day, and some of you may remember this sign from a previous month as it gained quite a few comments.  I find it’s best to start the work day with a cup of tea in this mug as a reminder for the day.

We’ve been looking for a new rug for our main room for months, and then when out window shopping on Sunday we found this, the absolute perfect fit.

Plus we also bought this canvas to hang over the sofa.

The weather has been extremely warm the last few days, and Will has now taken to sleeping in his summer abode during the day.  This is on top of the wardrobe in our bedroom.  He doesn’t look any more impressed at having his picture taken up here either.

Remember back in February I was waiting for my new car?  It arrived a couple of weeks ago and is…simply gorgeous.

Out and about in Lymington at lunchtime after a quick trip home.  There’s a bit of a mug theme emerging this month.  These are in a home shop called Willow.

While out exploring side streets in town I also saw this house and found it quite interesting so had to get a photo in.

And also on one of the sides of the shops you can see these old signs from many years past.

Obligatory dinner shot back home, lasagne with rocket salad.  Homemade of course.  By Waitrose.

And finally this month a special photo for my Mum & Dad’s wedding anniversary.  36 years today, we wish you were here with us old friend.  But I’m sure you’re enjoying this months pictures as always :)

That’s it for another month, see you next time, and be sure to visit the other folks from all around the world and leave a comment if you like what you see.

BTW – what is “rocket salad”?

  8. Pete says:

:) It’s a kind of lettuce leaf that seems to be really popular now. Sure it’s probably called something different for you guys.

  9. Matt says:

Ahhh … I thought maybe it was some other mix of ingredients. Looks like what we would call spring mix or frisee or something like that. :)
