12 of 12 V2.0 – August 2007
Another month has breezed by and it’s time for another 12 of 12. You know the deal by now, 12 photos on the 12th day of each month chronicalling your day. The brainchild of THIS MAN. This month I have got for some blatant “crowd pleaser” photos as the donkeys went down so well last month (so to speak).
Sunday is typically our lazy day where not a great deal gets done. I’m doing a lot of computer based training with my spare time at the moment, which doesn’t make for particularly exciting photos, so we went out and about to get some “banker” snaps in. I took quite a few pictures this month, and have uploaded all of them (including higher resolution versions of these ones) onto my Flickr site. You can view all the pictures HERE.

07:30 – The obligatory cat photograph. This is how I found Will this morning, fast asleep on the kitchen chair (he’s out nearly all night and gets shut in so he can’t bring any “little friends” in with him), so tired he didn’t even raise his head when I went into make the morning tea.

08:00 – This is unheard of, when I’m up and waiting for Sally to get ready I usually vegetate in front of the internet for a while, but this morning I felt strangely enthusiastic about getting stuff done. So time to T-Cut the car roof and fill in a few stone chips on the front with the touch-up pen.

09:15 – Lymington High Street. You will NEVER see it this quiet! We’ve come up here to get some breakfast before heading on out to Burley to get some more photos.

09:30 – Caffe Nero. International “12 of 12″ law states you must have at least one photo of food, so this is second breakfast! Egg and ham panini and a latte.

10:00 - Hatchett Pond. Doesn’t look much like a pond I know, but this is a pretty big expanse of water that is famous locally for supposedly having a plane crash into it during the war which was never recovered (there are more photos of this on the Flickr page).

10:20 – On the way into Beaulieu, rain is definitely coming as the local cows all decide to sit down. Don’t worry, the cow at the back hasn’t had his head removed, it’s just behind the bush!

10:45 – Beaulieu. There’s something you don’t see very often in Britain these days – a red telephone box. Note to any producer of US TV dramas that are trying to pretend a back lot somewhere is really a London street – there aren’t red phone boxes on every corner, nor are there red busses everywhere. Thanks.

12:00 – Duck feeding. Down in New Milton now with a very large bag of stale bread to feed the local ducks. Also in residence today is this chap:

Nice hat.

14:00 – My office shelves have been in a bit of a state just lately so I’ve finally given them a proper sort out. Some of these items will be appearing on eBay shortly. I’ve got so much stuff that I will never watch/read/listen to/use again there’s no point having it laying around. I think my days of hording stuff are behind me!

14:30 – Can you guess what we’re making for “dinner?” Yes the dish gives it away somewhat doesn’t it?

The final shot of the day as I’ll be getting in depth with the new software for the rest of the day. Oh and yes I did cut out the license codes!
Same time next month?

You’re the first poster this month!
I’m on *counts* 9 photos so far, plus the bonus (“light” – I had been checking Chad’s Blog and not seen anything, but a friend said it was “light”, and when I checked back a few entries, he’d slipped in a late one week warning that I’d missed).
And there are loads of red buses everywhere in London, I’ve been there and gotten photographic proof! I don’t remember seeing any that *weren’t* red, come to think of it. Whereabouts were you?
Good luck with the computer studying! My brain so couldn’t do that [lol]
I did spy plenty of them in Westminster but that was about it. It made me chuckle in Lost this season where everytime there was supposed to be a flashback in Britain you had telephone boxes, post boxes and red busses. I’ll give you the busses though
I didn’t check to see what the bonus was this month, I always forget to do that! Looking forward to your pics Helen
Yes, these stereotypes made in Hollywood … For Germany it’s always the Bavarian Style (Bretzeln and Weißwurst or Kuckucksuhr from the Black Forest on ALIAS). Sometimes it’s really annoying, but most of the time I just laugh about it.
But back to topic: Nice pics, Pete! I love the one with the duck. The hat is awesome LOL *g*
See you next month – maybe the puzzle is done by then (but I don’t thing so)
Nici
Are you selling Xfiles?
Great pictures!! I love the duck with the “het” ~ that is too much!!
@B – If there is one thing I would never sell, it would be the X-Files DVDs!
Wait – There AREN’T red telephone booths and buses all over the place!?
…Well I just don’t know what to believe anymore. (#)
if your looking to sell and 360 games specifically hitman and prey im interested
Sorry Bush, your whole belief system must be shattered
We don’t all talk like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins either hehe.
Jacob, I wouldn’t be selling those games I’m afraid.
Wow, I love the cows.
Great pix! Loved the duck!!
