12 of 12 V – August
Another month, another twelve photos from our favourite photo blog challenge created by Chad Darnell. As always be sure to visit Chad’s page and the other participants, and be sure to leave a comment. We do like our comments.
This month was another “not sure if I’m doing this” type affair, but I’ve thrown some shots together. I apologise for the vast number of technical photos this month, I was desperate to try and get the 12 pictures which proved to be a real struggle this time around.

Starting off in the kitchen at work doing the most important task first thing in the morning, getting the pre 8:30 start cup of tea.

This beast of a new Sony VAIO “lap”top arrived today for our MD. It’s a bit of a powerhouse with a Core i7 CPU, 8Gb of RAM and a Blu-ray writer. It still can’t do the ironing or make the tea though, ergo its rubbish.

And here it is, and this is as far as it got today, I was too busy with other things to even be able to switch it on. Tomorrow will be build day. If I get chance! It’s pretty crazy busy both here at my main clients office and with my other folks, the weekend can’t come quickly enough.

In the Chairman’s office installing a new PC for his PA. This is the view from her window out into Lymington. I didn’t dare open the blinds

Late morning and I moved over to my second office where I build all the new kit.

Attempting to be clever is always a dangerous thing. This is a touchscreen terminal PC which is used on the factory floor for booking jobs. This one decided to give up the ghost and die first thing this morning, a dying hard drive being the culprit. I took the drive out and imaged it and was fortunate it held on long enough for me to be able to do it. End result it was working again by the end of the day.

At lunchtime I rejoined the “Three Mile Walk”" club, and promptly failed to photograph any of the picturesque scenery around Lymington. Sorry we are left with a photo of the second delivery of the day. Looks like my Friday is going to be pretty busy then.

After visiting two further customers after the day job I arrived home at around 6:45 and found His Willness alert and pleased to see me as always.

Your obligatory food photo.

It was Sally’s birthday on Monday and I’m astonished we have this much cake left still. Not for long.

Flowers from Sally’s birthday from her Dad and brother which are just beginning to bloom.

And finally my total number of steps for the day. Given that I could barely break 4,000 while I was on holiday last week I’m pretty pleased (and exhausted) with this figure.
That’s all for this month, next month the 12th falls on a Sunday so I promise there will be some more interesting photos then!

Thank youuuuu!
)))
Hi Pete and Sally (happy birthday! gorgeous cake!!!), it was a struggle for me too due to my line which wasn’t as broadbandy as the last few months. And it was such a calm day. The cat slept beside me but when I wanted to take a pic of him he vanished – maybe next month! Eliane
Even with all the technical difficulties so to speak, it was still an interesting look at your day. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to next month’s to see what a sunday will bring.
Nice cake (Happy Birthday Sally!). Nice food (your posts always make me hungry). Nice flowers (you should have said they were from you!). And good for you for your walking … I need to do that. I barely leave my desk anymore, I think a good long walk at lunchtime would make me feel better.
Nice set.
Nice pics! (I also forgot the obligatory food photo this time) Will looks very comfy there.
Happy Birthday, Sally!
Beautiful cake, beautiful flowers, beautiful view out the assistant’s window. New hardware is always fun, and Will is handsome as ever. You did great, even if you think you didn’t. I’ll pass on those beans, though.
“rubbish” – I love that word.
I would have devoured that cake within minutes – looks delicious!
P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Hey Pete. Nice to see you’re still playing and remembering to do so regularly! It was gone 11pm before I remembered the date, a bummer as I was actually on leave last week too!
Interesting that you’ve got those 4410s too. I have just purchased 4 for our training centre. I haven’t set them up yet though. How are you getting on with them? Any good?
Catch up soon I hope!
That is an amazing amount of steps in one day. WOW!
The other pictures were great, but I can’t stop thinking about all those steps!
That’s a lot of steps!
Great job man.
Mmmm, good food shot and cake! (happy birthday to Sally). And I’d like a nice window view too…
Sorry I’m late in commenting – I was away and only managed to get my 12 of 12 up last night. I’m starting to comment on other people’s 12s now!
All those pics and no Project C…..
Ah well, good to see an update!
